Millie and Max tell us about Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Jane Taylor wrote the poem “The Star” in the early 19th century.

It was first published in 1806 in ‘Rhymes for the Nursery’, which was a collection of poems by Jane and her sister.

It was originally sung to the tune of an old French song, “Ah! Vous dirai-je, maman”.

Every single atom in your body – from the calcium in your bones to the iron in your blood – was created in a star billions of years ago?
You were created in a star!
